Cards for the Troops! 1,954 Cards Sent So Far!

Here are some more photos from our Cards for the Troops night. We have received so many wonderful cards, card fronts and envelopes from all over the country! On Friday, we finished over 850 cards, many for Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Thanks to everyone who sent cards, and special THANKS to to all my helpers: Terri, Joanne, Pam, Cheri, Marsha, and Wanda! I couldn't have done it without you!

9/21/07 - Card Night - For the Troops

These photos were taken two weeks ago. Cheri, Cindy, Pam, Gail, Marsha, Louise, Wanda and Cathy helped assemble over 500 cards for the troops! We had quite a few laughs! The cards everyone sent were absolutely beautiful! We got quite a few ideas for our own holday cards, too!

Stampin' For the Troops!!!

Many of us are trying to get organized in preparation for the new catalog due out July 1st. Are you wondering what to do with your card samples/fronts from your discontinued sets? Please consider donating your card samples/card fronts from discontinued stamp sets to the troops! There are no Hallmark's or card shops in Iraq or Afghanistan!! Our troops need cards to send to family and friends.

I will be collecting cards and card fronts from demonstrators who are interested in donating to this worthy cause. I will finish off card fronts and include a mailing envelope with each one and forward them to the troops.

Since so many cards are coming in, I also need the addresses for more troops in Afghanistan or Iraq. Perhaps you have a friend, son or daughter over there whose troop would appreciate recieving the cards. (The packages are addressed to a specific unit to share, not to an individual.)

Completed cards and envelopes also welcome. You can donate by mailing these to Helen Bober, 6396 Hillside Rd, Independence, OH 44131. I can be reached at hbasket@roadrunner.com if you have any questions.

God Bless our Troops!!!!

Update

I decided to create a blog just for Stampin' for Troops, rather than combining it with my personal/stamping blog.
